For Students

The Next Generation of Cancer Researchers
There are many ways the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) supports students at both undergraduate and graduate stages. Weekly seminars presented by established and emerging researchers, as well as workshops, presentations and our annual Research Day bring students together with senior scientists to learn about ongoing research, discuss projects, build skills and get feedback. Research studentship awards provide valuable funding for innovative projects across the cancer continuum.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students can explore the biology of cancer and how it’s diagnosed and treated, through a variety of specialized courses.
Graduate Students
Browse the many opportunities early career cancer researchers have to work with and learn from senior scientists.
Seminar Series
The CRINA Connects Seminar Series offers weekly presentations from September to May on current and leading-edge research underway within Alberta and beyond. Join us to learn more about innovative cancer research from scientists at the 天美传媒 and around the world.
Research Trainee Awards
Through community and individual donations, CRINA has awarded dozens of substantial awards and grants since 2014 to help early career scientists pursue promising cancer research
