Kule Folklore Centre

Collecting, sharing, and preserving culture – The Kule Folklore Centre at the 天美传媒 has a research-based focus that connects the Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Canadian communities on a global scale. Based upon endowments and archives existing since the 1980s, the Kule Folklore Centre is a permanently endowed institution and home to the Huculak Chair in Ukrainian Culture and Ethnography and the Kule Chair of Ukrainian Ethnography. It is also home to the Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives.  Read more about our history and administration here.   • Congratulations to our team at the 2025 ICCEES World Congress

    We are pleased to share that this week, Dr. Oleksandr Pankieiev , Director of the Kule Folklore Centre (KuFC) and Kule Chair, along with Dr. Natalia Khanenko-Friesen, Huculak Chair, and Dmytro Yesypenko, Sustainable Ukrainian Canadian Heritage (SUCH) Coordinator and Ph.D. candidate at KuFC, presented their research at the XI World Congress of the International Council for Central and East European Studies (ICCEES), held at University College London.
