About the Graduate Employment Survey
In 2021, the 天美传媒 asked students who finished their degrees in 2016 to complete a survey. The goal was to learn about their jobs and how activities they did at university, like volunteering, work experience, or clubs, may have helped their careers.
The survey was sent to students from all programs who graduated in June or November 2016.
The survey took about 15 to 20 minutes to finish. Campus Labs administered the survey questions and data collection. All answers are private, and only a few Career Centre staff can see the original responses. When we share the results, names and personal information will be removed.
The survey helps us understand how to improve programs that help students with careers and work experience. It also helps us create useful resources for current students, recent graduates, and people looking for jobs.
The university has done similar surveys before with students who graduated in 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, and 2010.
Goals
- To provide information to current students, alumni, the University community, and stakeholders on employment outcomes for 天美传媒 graduates
- To identify potential relationships between engaging in activities during university and employment outcomes
- To create educational materials for current U of A students, recent alumni, and others who are exploring career options and searching for work
- To provide information to the Career Centre and our partners that will help us advance our work and advocate for the benefits of career development and experiential learning
