ALES Mini-Internship Program

The ALES Mini-Internship Program (AMIP) offers a unique opportunity for students to get first-hand learning experience on careers in agriculture, life, and environmental sciences. Twice a year during the Fall and Winter reading weeks, this program matches students with an industry specific organization for a 3-day visit and volunteer work.

Program Benefits

  • Gain hands-on experience within animal agriculture, veterinary medicine, agribusiness, plant/crop sciences, government, food production and technology, forestry, and environmental and conservation sciences.
  • Test a career option you’re interested in before you make a commitment to pursue it.
  • Make connections and build relationships with a wide range of people to build your professional network.

Applications have now closed for the Winter 2025 Program. Details of the Fall 2025 Program will be announced in September 2025.
