Overview
International Education and Enrolment (IEE) supports the university community in the development and delivery of impactful international experiences and opportunities to foster global citizenship.
Collaborating across the campus, we aim to:
- Increase international student enrolment through partnerships
- Enhance the international student and academic visitor experience
- Increase participation in learning abroad opportunities
- Advance opportunities for students to develop as global citizens
Areas of Work
International Student and Visitor Services
Providing programs, services and events for U of A international students and academic visitors. ISVS’s team of licensed immigration specialists and student advisors support them in adjusting to Edmonton - helping to ensure a successful U of A experience.
Global Learning
Through educational and experiential opportunities at home and abroad, Global Learning helps students to enhance their competencies and build confidence to work with others across differences to solve complex problems and to internationalize their U of A experience.
Relationship Enrolment and Programs
Responsible for developing and managing international articulation programs, joint academic programs, and transnational education opportunities, the unit enhances international student enrolment and fosters global citizenship among students, faculty, and staff.
