The English Conversation Club (ECC) is a welcoming space for all students to practice conversational English, meet new people, and learn about different cultures.
Immigration Webinars
Learn about immigration matters that pertain to international students, including compliance with Study Permit conditions, working in Canada, the visa process, and so on.
Get Involved
Volunteer to support international students and become part of a welcoming community that extends beyond the campus, into the city of Edmonton, and the wider Canadian community.

A taste of home: community gardening
Join us this Spring and Summer for A Taste of Home—a community gardening project for international students and the U of A community. We will grow traditional vegetables and fruits from around the world, share gardening skills, and connect through food and culture.

Drumheller Trip for the U of A Campus Community | October 4
October 4 | 6:45 a.m. | Meet at the Telus Centre | C$90
Join the U of A campus community for a day trip to Drumheller. We will go to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, which houses the world's largest displays of dinosaurs, and trek through Horsethief Canyon. Tickets are $90 each, covering transportation, admission into the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and a boxed lunch.
Banff National Park 2.5 Day Tour for the U of A Campus Community | October 10 - 12

Join the U of A campus community for a 2.5-day tour of Banff National Park. Departing from Edmonton, you will visit Calgary, Lake Louise, and Banff, with optional add-ons like the Banff Gondola and Calgary Tower. Don’t miss this chance to explore Alberta’s most iconic sights.
Financial Literacy Workshops
Learn about banking, budgeting, credit scores, fraud prevention, and smart investing through engaging online and in-person sessions. These workshops are designed to help you make informed financial decisions and set yourself up for success.
Wellness Check-ins
Relax, de-stress, and connect with support programs. Recharge with Unwind Your Mind activities, join Wellness Wednesdays for games, tea, and good conversation, or step outside for city excursions and outdoor recreation. However you choose to participate, you’ll find a welcoming space to de-stress and take care of yourself.
Intercultural Events
Connect with a diverse community while exploring new cultures. Attend fun and interactive sessions like outdoor survival workshops, multicultural potlucks, Indigenous education events, and celebrations of global and Canadian traditions. These events are a great way to meet new people and learn about different cultures.
